ABOUT US

ABOUT SHEFFIELD CARERS SERVICE

We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of unpaid carers in Sheffield by providing essential information, advice, and support services. Our commitment is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who selflessly care for others.

Sheffield Carers Service became part of Crossroads Care Rotherham (website >>>) at the start of 2026. Previously known as the Carers Centre, the organisation has been providing information & advice plus practical & emotional support to unpaid carers in the city for over 30 years. This has enabled the team to build a wealth of experience and knowledge about the local support available in Sheffield. Our community of carers currently includes over 12,000 residents in the city.

If you look after a family member or friend who is frail, or has a disability or an illness or mental health issue, you are welcome to join that community. Use this link to take a look at our definition of carer >>>
