Carer Activities
​We manage a range of weekly or monthly activities that provide a great opportunity to meet other carers and have a break from caring. Please keep checking back as we will continue to arrange more activities in Sheffield. For more information on any of the events below email office@sheffield-carers.org.uk

Carers Café (Town Hall)
The Café starts at 1000 on the 2nd Friday of the month at Room G46 of the city centre Town Hall. All carers are welcome and there is no need to book a place. All Café meetings are free, but any donations to the cost of refreshments are welcome for this event.

Carers Walk & Talk (Various Locations)
Held on the 1st Thursday of the month through parks or woodlands and along country paths, these short walks help carers benefit from some exercise and talking to others. All are welcome to join these free and friendly walks and if you have any queries about locations please email office@sheffieldcarers.org.uk

Carers Book Group (Central Library)
This group meets at the Central Library at 13:30 on the 2nd Monday of the month. They read a different book (borrowed from the Central Library) each month and meet for a lively and friendly discussion.

Carers Book Group (Crystal Peaks)
This group meets at the Crystal Peaks Library at 1100 on 3rd Tuesday of the month. All members have the chance to choose a book for the group to read then discuss at the meeting.
​
Carers Crafts Group (SAGE Allotment)
This group meets at 1330 on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the SAGE Greenfingers allotment (S4 8LE). It’s a great opportunity to join in some crafting activities and catch up with other carers in a peaceful setting.

Carers Crafts Group (The Red Lion)
This group meets at 1130 on the 1st Friday of the month at The Red Lion, 109 Charles Street, S1 2ND. This is a great opportunity to take part in different crafting activities each month in the company of other carers.
​
Carers Art Group (Ponds Forge)
This group meets at 1100 on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Room 1 inside the Sports Hall at Ponds Forge. The class uses various materials to create artwork around a different theme each month in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Carers Sports & Games (Ponds Forge)
In partnership with ‘Everyone Active’ carers can enjoy free sports and games at Ponds Forge from 1230 on the 4th Wednesday of the month. All carers are welcome to bring someone, but please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Carers Choir (Ponds Forge)
The Sheffield Carers Service Choir meets at 12:00 every Friday at Ponds Forge. You don’t need a special talent or attend every week - all you need is a love of singing. There is a small cost of £3 but no need to book and all carers are welcome.
